FAQ
What is a SHARE CODE? I get asked for this to prove I have immigration status.
A share code is a way of proving status to someone, using UK Government websites. You, as the status holder, must log into a website, follow some steps to produce a code of numbers and letters called a share code. You then give that share code, along with your date of birth, to the person or organisation who wants to check your status. They then enter those details into another Government website, which should then display your immigration status.
The correct websites to use depend on what status you have, and whether you have a UKVI account. See this FAQ for more information.
