Forum for EU citizens

the3million started as an online forum on Facebook in July 2016. It has now grown to over 45,000 members who are discussing issues faced by EU citizens in the UK.

The Forum for EU Citizens is a private group on Facebook. It is designed as a safe place for EU citizens living in the UK to exchange views, share the experience of dealing with the Home Office and last but not least support each other.

Please note that the3million and the members of the Forum for EU citizens are not qualified to give legal advice. Read our explanation on what constitutes legal advice.

We reserve the right to approve and decline members' posts, so the discussions are only focused on the subject of the rights of EU citizens in the UK.

If you have any COVID-19 questions, or about travelling from and to the UK, please check the website of your embassy/consulate or our FAQ page.

How to join our forum

The Forum is a private Facebook group and a Facebook account is required: www.facebook.com/groups/Forum4EUcitizens

Because this is a large group, we attract trolls and spammers so we ask all new members three membership questions to only admit real people. All new applications are reviewed manually. We decline all new applications if:

  • You don't have a profile picture
  • You haven't answered the three membership questions or have not answered the questions truthfully (we check personal profiles when in doubt)
  • You haven't agreed to the Group Rules.

Objectives

The Forum's primary focus is EU citizens' rights and we pro-actively moderate the forum to keep the discussions on topics, using common sense rules to stay non-partisan and respectful of each other. We have a zero tolerance policy towards trolls or people posting hate messages.

The moderation is done by an amazing team of volunteers. It's a tough job and they are doing their best to keep the Forum a safe place. If you feel they got it wrong, please use the appeal procedure.

One of their objectives is to keep the Forum free of people 'fishing' for EU citizens, whether they are journalists, researchers, lawyers or owners of other groups. If you have a need for getting in touch with EU citizens, please do so using the contact form.

If you are seeking legal advice, we are unable to give you any (this would be illegal as we are not qualified immigration law practitioners. For free legal advice, please contact the AIRE Centre

As your first action, we invite you to subscribe to our newsletter so you get update information in your inbox. You can unsubscribe at any time.
