I have EU/Non-EU dual nationality and (pre-) settled status. I have registered both passports on my UKVI account. Can I travel on the non-EU passport?

This depends on whether your non-EU nationality is one that appears on the UK’s visa national list. This is a list of nationalities where visitors from those countries would need a visa to come to the UK.

If your non-EU nationality is on that list, and you tried to travel on that passport, then airlines and other carriers would expect to see a physical proof of your UK immigration status (in the form of a biometric residence card, biometric residence permit, or a vignette (sticker) in your passport).

It would therefore be recommended that you travel with the EU passport, to prevent being subject to the visa rules required by your non-EU country.

If your non-EU nationality is not on that list, then you should be able to travel with either passport. Carriers should not expect to see a physical proof of your status, and the UK border should see that both passports are linked to your UKVI account.

Note: From January 2025, when all biometric cards/permits etc will have expired, the intention is that carriers will be using the UK’s “interactive Advanced Passenger Information” systems, so then we expect that you should be able to travel with either passport, regardless of whether your non-EU passport is on the visa national list or not.
