I joined the3million in 2020, to support the DeniedMyBackup campaign. I was exciting because for a long time I had felt angry about the negative narrative about immigration that has been allowed to develop by successive UK governments and the media. I felt frustrated at how little attention the impact on EU citizens' rights was given during the referendum and subsequent remain campaigns. I have helped coordinate campaigns and contributed to the work of the3million in other ways ever since. I joined the Steering Committee in 2021. I also volunteer with Settled and work full time in mental health.
